DUBLIN, Ireland: Aer Lingus has announced it will begin direct flights between Dublin and Las Vegas starting October 25th, marking a significant expansion in the airline's transatlantic service.

The flights will operate three times weekly using Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which can accommodate between 305 and 317 passengers, depending on the specific configuration of the plane used.

Las Vegas will become the 15th U.S. destination served by Aer Lingus from Dublin, bringing the total number of routes, including those from Shannon, to 19. The airline also operates flights between Manchester and various U.S. cities.

Aer Lingus plans to maintain this route until April 29th, 2025, concluding just after the Easter mid-term break. With this new route, Aer Lingus will be the only airline offering direct flights between Ireland and Las Vegas.

"Aer Lingus is bringing this iconic destination to Irish customers seeking an escape to the winter sun," said Lynne Embleton, CEO of Aer Lingus. "Las Vegas is renowned for being one of the greatest entertainment capitals in the world, famous for its shows, concerts, sports events, and natural wonders. Launching this new Aer Lingus route is a significant moment for us and our customers."

Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, expressed excitement about the new service. "On behalf of all of Las Vegas, we couldn't be more thrilled to welcome Aer Lingus to Las Vegas for the very first time. In 2023, our city welcomed more than 52,000 visitors from Ireland, and this direct, nonstop service from Dublin will undoubtedly be motivation for Irish travelers. We congratulate Aer Lingus on this expansion and look forward to a very successful partnership."
